Bought a 54 plate Land Rover Discovery from these guys. The Auto Trader said it had, amongst other things: full history, MOT until the following year, telephone prep, two sets of keys - none of which it transpired existed/were true. The car had a few faults which they really should have found and not had me running back and forwards to get fixed, for instance a wiring loom fault affecting the air suspension, a big hole in the air-con condenser, a faulty brake pad wear sensor. They did eventually fix all of these, but only after some persuasion and a lot of inconvenience. However, the missing service history was my biggest concern, so using the sole MOT certificate I did have, I did a little detective work and managed to find the original owner - a hotel owner up on the very northern tip of Scotland. He told me the car had been very well looked after by him (recent new turbo, lots of other bits - all later confirmed by a trusted mechanic), but that given the remoteness of where he lived he had not main dealer maintained the car and there WAS NO SERVICE HISTORY. He also kindly sent me the spare key. Meanwhile, CCM were still trying to tell me the History was in the post... What a joke! Armed with this information about the false advertising I entered a claim against them and www.moneyclam.gov.uk for £2000 (15% of the retail value of the car for the missing paper work and the rest for the missing items from the advert). As a result of this they now have a CCJ against them. I then raised the CCJ up to a high court writ and used "The Sheriffs" high court bailiffs to extract what I was legally owed. Doing this is really easy and costs the person claiming very little. Trading Standards know CCM pretty well and have, I'm told, been trying to make them improve their standards of service. However, reading the reviews here I suspect they still have a long way to go. I also suspect many of the positive reviews have been added by CCM themselves as they all read like they were written by the same person. Best avoid if you can, but say hello from me if you see them.

probably the worst experience I have ever had when buying a car. Negotiated a small £50 discount before travelling only to have this revoked at purchase. car described as excellent tyres noticed one was bald negotiated another discount for price of tyre. When attending tyre fitment place was advised that all tyres beyon legal limit!!!! Got pulled by the police and them found to my horror that the tax disc was missing luckily police didnt compound vehicle as was taxed. (admit this was my fault as I read the disc wrong on purchase).Car came with approx 10 months mot yet all wipers were illegal i.e smearing on the front and split on the rear this is a mot failure (again hindisight). Car had other faults within days of purchase i.e engine management light.Remote for alarm stopped working no big deal you would thinks but you cant open the boot!!! so a pain. Contacted them over tax disc and logbook which disnt materialise took two months to send it.Was promised on numerous occasions that tax disc would be obtained and forwarded this never happened.!!! In summary yes cars are reasonably priced but ensure you take a professional to test and check properly,do not make my mistake. If the car does not meet description then reject mediately and get a refund. Would I buy again from this dealer /certainly not have bought various cars in 20 years and certainly have never felt the need to leave a review like this. Poor car Poor description (mot failure on at least 5 points so am dreading the mot!!!) Very poor customer service even when handing over a wad of cash never never again forgot to mention that they did refund £110.00 for replacement part worn tyres
